Lydia S. Howie, MS, GPC

As a Development/Marketing Consultant and Founding Principal of Howie Marketing & Consulting, Lydia has over 30 years of nonprofit and business experience as a nonprofit executive director, marketing director, grant writer, publicist and fundraiser. She has provided grant writing, development, and promotional marketing services to nonprofit agencies since 1999 and has raised over twenty million dollars in grants for her clients. Lydia has taught marketing and grant writing classes at Pace University and SUNY Purchase. She has served on numerous boards and community committees, including the Association of Development Officers, where she served as the President from 2004 to 2006. She founded the Grant Professionals of Lower Hudson Valley and serves as their first president. She is also a member of Grant Professionals Association.

Lydia holds a MS in Marketing from Iona College and a BA in Communication Arts from College of New Rochelle. She earned her Grant Professional Certification credential from the Grant Professional Certification Institute in 2008. She has received numerous awards and recognition including a U.S. Presidential Award for a Desert Storm fundraiser and the Association of Development Officers’ 2007 Peter J. Gallagher Award for Leadership & Service.
